Irina studied at the UCLA University Irina was born in Moscow. She started taking lessons in music at the age of 5. At the age of 7 she joined the Central Music School under the Moscow State Conservatory studying with Professor Mndoyantz, Professor Gornostaeva and Professor Dorensky. She graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory and in 2009 completed a Postgraduate Course there. Additionally she studied with Professor Margulis at the UCLA University (Los Angeles) and with Professor Yablonskaya at the Guilliard School, (New York). Irina had studied at the International Piano Academy “Incontri col Maestro” with Professor Boris Petrushansky in Imola (Italy), at Talent Music Master Courses in Brescia with Professor Andrea Bonatta, as well as she had completed a Master Course in Piano Performance at Conservatorio di Musica A. Steffani with Professor Massimiliano Ferrati. Masterclasses with V. Balzani, A. Frolich, L. Morales, A. Mamriev, J. Rose, Piotr Paleczny, Dmitry Bashkirov, Oleg Maisenberg. Irina has been performing in Russia and abroad giving solo recitals, as well as chamber concerts and performing with symphony orchestras to critical acclaim.
Irina Bogdanova is a laureate of numerous International piano competitions: a winner of the First Alemdar Karamanov piano Competition (Ukraine); First Prize and the Grand Prix at the International Puigcerda Piano competition (Spain); Third prize at the International Competition “Riviera del Conero”, (Italy). Second prize at the International “Ennio Porrino” Piano Competition (Cagliari, Italy) where the First Prize was not awarded; A Diploma at the Val Tidone “Silvio Bengalli” competition, Third Prize at the International competition Premio pianistico Francesco Moscato in Airola, Italy; First Prize at the “Note Sul Mare” International piano competition, Ischia (Italy). In 2015 Irina also became a laureate of Dorothy MacKenzie Artist Recognition Scholarship Award in New York, (USA). First Prize at the Malta International Piano Competition 2016.
Irina Bogdanova has played in all major Concert Halls of Moscow and abroad. She appears as a soloist, giving recitals and playing piano concertos with many famous orchestras and conductors. Among them M.Sherbakov, R.Torre Liedo, C.Pyhrr, V.Dudarova, D.Orlov, A.Skoulsky, Giulio Svegliado, H. Arzumanyan.

Wagner Festival in Augsburg, Germany; Cittadella International Music Festival (Italy); International Keyboard Institute and Festival at Hunter College, New York (USA); Piano City, Milano (Italy).
Her recordings include CDs for “Melodiya”, “Classical Records” Labels, a CD of the complete Etudes of Chopin on the Quartz Music Label (2014).
Irina Bogdanova plays Chopin Études was released on the Quartz record label and has been received by the British press with critical acclaim.
This new release has received airplay on BBC Radio 3’s Late Junction and CD Review as well as being featured in leading British magazines from Gramophone to BBC Music Magazine.
Julian Haylock writing for BBC Music Magazine gives the recording an impressive 4 stars, and notes that the disc is ‘recorded with a clarity that recalls Pollini’s 1970 account for DG’ and remarks that ‘Bogdanova keeps a tight rein on Chopin’s poetic fantasy, making each Étude a microcosm of sequential ingenuity’.
